Full Stack Developer

As a full-stack engineer at Orange Health, you'll be responsible for developing new features for our existing product, and ensuring that our platform is optimised for performance and scalability. You'll work on the entire technology stack, from front-end user interfaces to back-end infrastructure, using your expertise to bridge the gap between technical constraints and real-world user needs.

What will you get to do?

• The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to contribute to the growth and development of our product through writing and maintaining high-quality code that prioritises maintainability.

• This role will be focused primarily on front-end development, comprising 60% of the responsibilities, with the remaining 40% focused on back-end development. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and monitoring valuable solutions that achieve the team's goals while maintaining a smooth delivery flow and balancing tradeoffs between scope, time, and effort.

• As a continuous improvement mindset is essential for success in this role, the successful candidate will be expected to continuously improve their and their team's way of working. This includes expanding the boundaries of their team's autonomy and self-organisation, as we believe these principles lead to stronger, happier, and more performing teams.

Skills we are looking for

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience)

• 2+ years of professional experience with JavaScript and React.js development, consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs

• 1+ year of professional experience with back-end development (Python, or Golang), and SQL/NoSQL Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), and AWS

• Experience in Semantic HTML, CSS, SCSS styling and Typescript

• Experience with React unit testing using Jest or React testing library and React state management libraries (Redux, Apollo)

• Firm grasp over web development best practices (performance, security, browser APIs)

• Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills

• Excellent attention to detail, ownership, and ability to execute through to completion

• Solid understanding of agile development life cycle
