We have a team of experienced operations, product leaders, engineers, and healthcare professionals, who have built & scaled innovative platforms. The team hails from top institutes like IIT-KGP / Delhi/ Roorkee, BITS, Univ of Michigan, ISB, IIMs, IIIT, etc, with experience in leading startups and healthcare companies like Practo, Curefit, Unacademy, Licious, Ola, 91springboard, McKinsey, ITC, PwC, Apollo, Lal Pathlabs, Columbia Asia, Manipal, Metropolis, and more.
With our deep understanding of primary healthcare and its opportunities, we are building Orange Health to become the infrastructure of remote healthcare in India, starting with making diagnostics on-demand. Since our launch in 2020, Orange Health has grown fast to become a diagnostics leader in Bangalore by delivering a strong product experience. Currently rated 4.9/5 by consumers across Bangalore, and adopted by hundreds of doctors. We are expanding into different markets in India. Currently we are available across Bangalore and NCR. We are also expanding into different metro cities within 24 months.

About the role
As part of this role, you will
take ownership and lead the engineering responsibility for multiple components of the platform.
manage and mentor a team of talented engineers.
design and develop highly scalable, reliable, secure and fault-tolerant systems with minimal guidance.
actively participate in defining architecture and creating solution documents; consistently, be hands-on with low level design, code review, coding and unit testing activities.
split complex engineering task into smaller components, which can then be developed by junior engineers on the team
figure out Technical debt while working on architectural designs.
build a culture of engineering excellence within the team; drive adoption of practices like continuous integration, security, code reviews, code coverage, code quality and shift left practices.
track releases, error & application loggings once you put the feature/product on production.
participate in technical discussions to figure out how to design the system keeping scale into consideration.
coordinate with cross-functional business, operations and technology teams on planning and execution.
interact with external partners and libraries to figure out what best suits the current and future requirements, and implement the same keeping business needs in check.
identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards, processes and systems.
work closely with the founders, engineering leaders, and designers; and collaborate to create innovative products that will help define the future of healthcare.
evangelize and promote adoption of open source and contributions to the open source community.
Must have
5+ years of relevant software development experience with production-ready consumer/merchant products; hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying mid to large scale applications (preferably from a startup background).
Deep understanding of Microservices
Data modelling experience in Relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB,
Goo understanding of DevOps and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, Travis, Docker, Kubernetes
Knowledge of AWS/GCP/Azure stack.
Deep understanding of OOP, Reactive Programming, SQL, Design Patterns, Functional Programming
Well-versed with best practices in programming: writing clean code, documentation, unit testing.
Passion for building products that positively impact the daily lives of consumers.
Nice to have
Experience in developing native iOS and/or Android mobile apps.
Ideally have worked in fast-growing startups, so you understand the need and ability to be able to move fast.
