What is Absolute Basophil Count (ABC) test?
The absolute basophil count is calculated by multiplying the percentage of basophils by the total number of white blood cells.The blood test results can confirm when your basophils are abnormally high (basophilia) or abnormally low (basopenia).
Why get the Absolute Basophil Count (ABC) test?
Basophil count is done as a part of the differential white blood cell count test, the test is performed in case of an allergic reaction or chicken pox.
