What is C-Reactive Protein, Cardio test?
High levels of C-reactive Protein (CRP) is a marker for cardiovascular (heart) disease risk. It could indicate the risk of a first or recurrent coronary stroke, myocardial infarction, angina, and congestive heart failure. The hsCRP test is also a sensitive predictor of heart disease risk in both men and women.
Why get the C - Reactive Protein, Cardio test?
The hsCRP test is used to predict the risk of a heart attack. This test would be administered to those who would develop myocardial infarction and those who show signs of acute coronary syndrome. It is used to predict heart diseases, even in those who have never got a heart attack.
