What is Dengue Fever Antibodies Panel (IGG & IGM) test?
The dengue antibodies test (IgG and IgM) is ordered when infection by the dengue virus is suspected. If dengue infection is present, the IgM test would be positive after 5-7 days after the onset of fever, and the IgG test would be positive within 7-10 days.
Why get the Dengue Fever Antibodies Panel (IGG & IGM) test?
Dengue antibodies test (IgG and IgM) is a routine test to detect infection by the dengue virus. This infection is difficult without accurate diagnostic tests, as chikungunya and other viral fevers show similar symptoms.
