What is Urine (Culture) test?
Urine culture is suggested when an infection in the urinary tract is suspected. Generally, urine is sterile, free of microorganisms while in the bladder. Females have more risks of UTIs than men due to a shorter urethra. Urine culture helps to identify the organisms like bacteria causing the infection and helps doctors decide which antibiotics to administer to treat urinary tract infections.
Why get the Urine (Culture) test?
Those with Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) would feel pain in the loin region and experience difficulties during urination. Infections would be accompanied by an increased urge for urination, cloudy/foul-smelling urine, and other symptoms like fever with chills, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. The urine culture would be recommended to diagnose a urinary tract infection. Urine culture helps in identifying the organism causing the infection and helps doctors choose the appropriate antibiotic to fight against the infection.

What our customers say about us
I normally have an issue with my veins as they are very thin but the technician was experienced and the sample came out in one shot at the first attempt, which really reassured me.
The pickup was done extremely nicely. Got a message when the person started , no calls for directions and most of all extremely polite representative.
Got my one year old tested. Very professional and safe. Using sealed sample kits with needles, tubes and gloves pre-packed.
