Are you under 40? A sobering new study suggests that even the smallest amounts of alcohol is not beneficial for those in the age bracket of 15-39. Infact, it increases significant health risks according to a new global study.

While earlier studies had suggested that moderate amount of alcohol consumption might be good for young adults, the Global Burden of Diseases project, which tracks epidemiological levels and trends worldwide, found that any level of alcohol consumption increased the risk of death for those under 40. People 40 or older may benefit from a limited consumption of alcohol — a glass of red wine occasionally, for example — as long as they have no underlying health risks.
