    Urea

    Urea is a nitrogen-containing substance primarily produced by protein metabolism in the liver and excreted by the kidneys. The parameter is used to estimate kidney function. An increase in urea levels in the blood indicates that the kidneys are not able to eliminate it adequately, suggesting kidney damage or failure or other causes such as a high protein diet.

    Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN)

    Blood urea nitrogen (BUN) is a urea nitrogen produced after protein breakdown in the blood. BUN also gets excreted via the kidneys. The BUN levels may rise in the blood due to kidney diseases.

    Creatinine

    Creatinine is another substance that is produced during muscle metabolism and is cleared by the kidneys. An increase in creatinine levels in the blood may suggest decreased creatinine excretion by the kidneys, which again indicates that the kidneys are not functioning well or other factors like high protein diet or high muscle bulk.

    Uric Acid

    Uric acid is a waste product formed by the natural breakdown of purines in the body. It passes through the kidneys and gets excreted in urine.     BUN/Creatinine Ratio

From the moment I contacted them till the receipt of the results and re-bookings for follow up tests, everything was fantastic. Pls note the sample taking covered early morning visit, for a patient aged 90+!! Initially I had made the big mistake of contacting another big-noise, big-ad spending Lab service provider based on a Google search of a particular test resulting in its top of page listing, and was utterly disgusted with that Labs' service.
