What is Vitamin B12 (Vit B12) test?
A blood sample is drawn to evaluate the level of Vitamin B12 present in the body. The body needs this vitamin to make blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. Vitamin B12 is usually measured at the same time as a folic acid test because a lack of either one or both can lead to a form of anemia called megaloblastic anemia. Elevated concentrations of Vitamin B12 have been associated with pregnancy, the use of oral contraceptives and multivitamins, and in myeloproliferative diseases such as myelomonocytic leukemia and chronic granulocytic leukemia.
Why get the Vitamin B12 (Vit B12) test?
This test helps diagnose the cause of anemia or neuropathy, evaluate the nutritional status, and monitor the effectiveness of treatment for vitamin B12 or folate deficiency. Vegetarians or vegans following a strict diet maybe deficient in Vitamin B12 and this test is recommended to evaluate their B12 levels.

Every 6 months
Precautions to be taken before for the test

What our customers say about us
I normally have an issue with my veins as they are very thin but the technician was experienced and the sample came out in one shot at the first attempt, which really reassured me.
The pickup was done extremely nicely. Got a message when the person started , no calls for directions and most of all extremely polite representative.
Got my one year old tested. Very professional and safe. Using sealed sample kits with needles, tubes and gloves pre-packed.
