    The Interferon Gamma Release Assay (IGRA), including the QuantiFERON-TB Gold test, helps diagnose tuberculosis (TB) infections using a blood sample. This test measures the level of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) released from T cells in response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
