While malaria often begins with fever, chills, and body aches, in some cases the illness can progress to more serious complications. When Malaria Needs Extra Care

One of the more complex forms of malaria is cerebral malaria, which can involve convulsions and seizures. Other signs such as strong headaches, persistent nausea, or repeated vomiting should not be ignored. This suggests the body needs closer medical attention.

    Impact on Other Organs

Malaria doesn’t just affect the blood, it can place stress on other parts of the body too. The illness may cause low blood sugar, which can contribute to weakness and fatigue. It can also lead to kidney-related complications, from infections to, in rare cases, kidney failure. These issues may develop due to both dehydration and the parasite itself.

    Takeaway

Most malaria cases improve with the right treatment and care. But if symptoms like convulsions, seizures, severe headaches, or persistent nausea and vomiting appear, it is important to consult a doctor immediately. Careful monitoring helps ensure complications are identified early, keeping recovery on track.
