What is Fasting Bloog Sugar (FBS) test?
Blood sugar tends to peak after eating and declines later. After fasting, a carbohydrate metabolism test is conducted, which measures blood glucose levels. A blood sample will be taken after an overnight fast. A person can be diagnosed as prediabetic or diabetic on the basis of this test result. Fasting blood sugar levels under 100 milligrams/decilitre (mg/dL) are considered normal. Levels between 100 and 125 mg/dL could indicate prediabetes.
Why get the Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) test?
If diabetes or related issues are suspected, a fasting blood sugar test is recommended. High fasting blood sugar levels point to insulin resistance or diabetes, while abnormally low fasting blood sugar could be due to diabetes medication. This test is also used to check the effectiveness of different medications or dietary changes on people already diagnosed as diabetic.

What our customers say about us
I normally have an issue with my veins as they are very thin but the technician was experienced and the sample came out in one shot at the first attempt, which really reassured me.
The pickup was done extremely nicely. Got a message when the person started , no calls for directions and most of all extremely polite representative.
Got my one year old tested. Very professional and safe. Using sealed sample kits with needles, tubes and gloves pre-packed.
