What is Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) test?
FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) is a reproductive hormone produced by the pituitary gland, regulated by GnRH (Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone) and feedback by gonadal steroid hormones. It is present in both men and women; stimulating follicular growth in women and seminiferous tubules and testicular growth in men. FSH values are present in higher levels in women, even after they reach menopause.
